The story of a small ministry with a big heart for young people and the community we call home.
How It All Started
It started with a simple observation. A pastor in Port Coquitlam looked at the young people in his church and realized they needed more than Sunday sermons. They were restless, eager, and hungry for something real. They needed to get their hands dirty in actual ministry.
So, with nothing more than a handful of teens and a whole lot of faith, Bread and Bible was born. The idea was straightforward: what if young people didn't just sit in the pews, but got personally involved in the work? What if they served meals, visited neighbors, organized outreach, and led prayer -- not someday in the future, but right now?
What began as a small group meeting in a living room has grown into a movement. Today, Bread and Bible is a community of young people actively serving Port Coquitlam and the Tri-Cities area -- locally, practically, and together. We break bread. We open the Bible. And then we go out and live it.

We believe God placed us here for a reason. The mountains that surround us remind us of His greatness. The rivers that flow through our community remind us that His love never stops moving. And the people -- our neighbors, our friends, our families -- they're the reason we do what we do.
From Coquitlam to Port Moody, from the trails along the Pitt River to the heart of downtown PoCo, this is our mission field. We're not going anywhere. We're right here, and we're showing up -- for this community, for these people, for as long as it takes.
